A large crowd mostly young people gathered in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv, carrying signs with slogans such as, "Bring back Mykhailo Fedorov," and "Do not threaten victory," and chanting slogans such as "Shame!"
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's decision has caused a seeming disagreement among military advisers in the country's conflict with Russia, as well as civil society.
President Zelenskyy, in a telephone conversation with British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, acknowledged that there had been a "slight disagreement" in his country, but he confirmed that the conflict between Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov and Ukrainian Army Chief of Staff Oleksandr Syrskyi was the reason for the dismissal of Minister Mykhailo Fedorov.
