Singer Zuchu confirms she is on the verge of divorcing her husband Diamond Platnumz.
Tanzanian singer Zuchu has announced that she has split from her longtime boyfriend and husband, Diamond Platnumz, and they have begun the process of legal separation, ending the two artists' six-year relationship.
Zuchu, whose real name is Zuhura Othman Soud, announced the news on her Instagram story, where she said she has decided to step away from marital relationships and instead focus on taking care of herself, her health, and her musical endeavors.
“Me and my husband have separated and we are in the process of divorcing,” she wrote.
In the message, Zuchu said that making the decision was difficult for her after six years together, adding that she wished Diamond Platnumz and his family the best.
“After six years together, I have now decided to choose myself. I wish Naseeb Abdul (Diamond Platnumz) and his family all the best. For me, I want to recover, take care of my health and continue with my work and music endeavors.,” she added.
Zuchu's message came after rumors circulated on social media that she and Diamond's family were preparing for the birth of their first child, which made the news of their separation seem surprising among their fans. However, neither Zuchu nor Diamond Platnumz had confirmed Zuchu's pregnancy.
The news of Zuchu and Diamond Platnumz's separation has prompted many fans and celebrities in Tanzanian entertainment to post messages on social media, expressing their shock, but they had already begun wishing the couple all the best before the news of their separation broke.
As of Monday, July 13, 2026, Diamond Platnumz has yet to publicly respond to Zuchu's statement or comment on the news of their breakup.
