Vestine and Dorcas End Partnership with MIE Empire
Vestine and Dorcas, a renowned Rwandan gospel music duo, have officially ended their partnership with MIE Empire, the management company that had overseen their music career for the past five years. The announcement was made through a press release issued on 13 June 2026.
In the statement, the artists expressed deep gratitude to MIE Empire for the support they received throughout their journey. They acknowledged that the company believed in their vision from the very beginning, invested in their dreams, and provided guidance when they needed it most. They described MIE Empire as more than just a business partner, saying it played a significant role in mentoring them, protecting them, and helping them develop strong values as both artists and members of society.
Although they did not wish to part ways with the company, Vestine and Dorcas explained that the time had come for them to expand their activities independently. They stated that this decision was driven by their desire to follow their own vision, values, and long-term goals while continuing to grow their ministry and music career.
The duo reassured their fans that the separation should not be viewed as the end of their musical journey. Instead, they described it as the beginning of a new chapter filled with exciting opportunities and projects that they plan to share with the public in the near future.
During their collaboration with MIE Empire, Vestine and Dorcas became some of the most popular gospel artists in Rwanda. Songs such as “Papa,” “Nahawe Ijambo,” and “Kisima” earned them widespread recognition and admiration. Their success extended beyond Rwanda through Swahili-language songs that helped them gain popularity across East Africa. The partnership also enabled them to perform at various concerts both within Rwanda and internationally, contributing to the growth of their global audience.
This is not the first time the relationship between the two parties has faced challenges. In July 2021, M. Irene Entertainment announced a temporary suspension of their collaboration. However, the two sides later reconciled and continued working together until the recent announcement of their separation.MIE Empire has declined to comment on the matter, stating that it has nothing to say regarding the decision at this time.
